If you haven't played since Stress Test, you're going to want to download the last 2 patches soon. I had roughly 1GB worth of patches to download since Stress Test when I started playing again.

We are happy to announce that we will soon be accepting applicants for the World of Warcraft® Open Beta Test for North America. Make up your fucking mind. Is it open or do we have to apply?

If you want to download it early, you might want to try where I got my old Stress Test version from. I don't know where to download the current version, but this would get ya started:

Warning
This is a 2+ Gigabyte file, then you'll have to turn around and likely download ~1 gig more in Patches (not counting any new patches before Open Starts). But, you'll be ahead of the rest of the OB crowd.

Actually, actual OB just download 1G, realizing once OB starts, no one is actually going to be seeding the patches that everyone already have :)

This is for people who want the client ahead of time. They'll need to patch it just the same as CB players.
This is mainly for the over-zealous. ;)

I somehow managed to make some sense of it, but it still will be over 2 gig.

Actually... I doubt it, because alot of that 1 GB file is there not to ADD on, but to REPLACE. therefore losing a 1GB file that wasn't needed in the first place (place holder models and such)

The whole original client was 2+ gigs, THEN I had to download about another gig of Patches.
They'll have to download it all if they try to get it early.
I would recommend waiting until the WoW beta emails, but whatever.

May as well sign up and give it a try. Better to try it now when it's free.
