For those of you who were in stress test and the 2 who are in closed beta (are there more than just Volls and Randuin??). What’s your opinion of the rate at which characters level? What are your thoughts on the whole “resting” thing for increased experience?

Personally, I didn’t really notice much difference besides the first few kills and I remember the bar stating 200% exp. As far as the exp grind I was pleased in general at the rate my toons were progressing. Although the highest level I had reached was 15, mostly due to me screwing around and having fun. What are your thoughts on the issue?

Meh. We'll see, there was a rumor in general chat about them halving exp gain, but I doubt it.

It's not exactly too fast as it is... when I tried stress test beta that is.

I consider myself a "casual" gamer, and I think it's alright.

Grinding mobs isn't the best way to gain XP, questing is.

I have noticed you FLY thru levels until about level 12-14 (basically, when you venture outside your noob areas). From that point on, I've switched to a new character each time. Right now, I have a 14 Shaman/13 Warrior/6 Warlock.

Like I stated elsewhere, I'm still getting a feel for each class/tradeskill.

Don’t you think if they halved the exp gain across the board it would royally fuck up the leveling system? I was a little perturbed when I finally figured out my hunter needed to be level 10 before he could have any pets. In the end it wasn’t too bad though, it only ended up taking me a night and an hour or so the next day to get it. I can speculate that it would have been kind of shitty if it were to take me double the time.

If they did, it must not come into play until later levels. I can still get to level 12-14 with a full day's worth of gaming.

Getting to 10 in about 6 hours is definately possible.
