Hrm, if I'm correct I believe this is about the 1539th thread about this topic. The answer is yes.

Can we stop with all these shitty threads?

About 75% of everything written in the bible has been disproved with science.

Examples:
A) There is not enough water on earth for a "Noah's Ark" thing.
B) The world is more than 3,000 years old.
C) Before space exploration, people thought God lived in the sky. Now that the religious fascists know there is nothing up there, they've reinterpreted it to mean something like he's "spiritually all around us."

Now, the entire belief concept of the bible is based on reinterpretation layered on reinterpretation, which begs the question: Isn't it possible to make sense of anything if you simply reinterpret it a certain way? Oh no! While playing monopoly I rolled three 6's in a row! A MESSAGE FROM GOD!

Hey mantra... who mentioned the Bible? Way to point out that you have no way of looking past the thought that there might be more to a supernatural being than the Catholic perception of a God.

No mantra, there is a difference. Putting words into someones mouth and and claiming that you believe in a God or a supernatural being are two far different things.

Ever hear of Bible Codes? I'd look them up, they can predict the future, and the past is all in the bible. So are the names of everyone in the whole world, date of birth and your families. Dont believe me? Go look it up. God is real.

I don't usually attack people's religious beliefs, but that is about as much bullshit as the John Titor thing. You show me my name, my dad's name, my grandfather's name, and the name of my nextborn (due in 2 months) cousin's name, and I'll give you 100 dollars, no joke.

Also, take your hands off your cock for a little bit, and look up this stuff, before you rant and spew about useless ignorant sentences.

FUCK YOU! Are you such an ignorant little poon to think that this bullshit is real? Have you tried it? Have you ever thought about that if this asinine excuse for something derived from a "religious" basis then perhaps everyone would believe in god? Everyone would believe in the bible? Holy fuck, you've never tried this bullshit and you still believe it works? And you're claiming that I'm ignorant? Where the fuck do you get off saying that? Hey, guess what, I was watching paid programming, and I can have ROCK HARD ABS IN THREE DAYS!!! Yea. Like I said, you give me the name of my cousin, and you get 150 dollars from me. I swear it upon my life. And for your information, I did google it. You expect me to believe that some comercialized bullcrap is derived from the bible? Yea. My ass. Ha, once again you lack knowing ANYTHING. There are professional people that work into this. First of all there was no commercial paid program for it. It was broadcasted over TV, history channel. Second, you say find your names, date of birth and shit. Okay, give me your name, and all the information. I will look for it through the bible. Thirdly, did you not see the "pictures" of the fact behind the logic of the mathematics used or the science behind it? Clearly one such as yourself doesn't overlook anything important, but rather just types in a simple word such as: Bible Codes, and then finds millions of advertising sites. Here, let me link you to a real site that proves it right: http://www.probe.org/docs/bib-code.html This may boggle your petty pub brain, for a tad little bit.

Sure, let me leave zelaron, and go and conduct myself in suicidal actives as I once was doing--maybe not. Heres what Ill suggest, take four instinct fingers--hold them up straight--rapidly finger your vagina, because Im pretty sure anything, and I mean anything relating to a male(including a phallus) isn't conjuring in this realm.

For kicks, I will give you all the information you need. My name is Jamal Knight, and I was born on March 1st 1991. You find the rest of the shit, and you get 150.

There was no commercial paid program for it, The History Channel just randomly decided to advertise a 150-dollar gadget which "makes prophecies?" As for your logic, and all this other bullshit you're talking about, let me give you the facts. Bible Codes are a hoax. Apparently, Drosnin discovered current events such as Yitzhak Rabin's assassination, Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City bombing, Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9's collision with Jupiter, and the end of the world coming in the year 2000. Only problem is, we're not dead. Oh, wait, I forgot, it's not 2000. Bullshit. The Bill and Monica scandals, Bush's fucked up election in 2000, and the world trade center were all postdictions. If you had done a little research yourself, you might have found this out. Also, using these "bible codes" Brndan McKay located nine political assassinations in Moby Dick, War and Piece, and plenty other books. Whole lot of truth there. Right.

I pity anyone who holds such a steadfast belief to anything this far-fetched. Good luck in life, buddy. Oh, just for the record, those so-called "insults" at the end of that post were an ignominy to yourself. Seriously. Come up with better shit than that.

IM not even gonna read it, of course no one is going to be giving you the "real" program, but there are other programs around the "Mathematics" around it. Sure, it cant be correct all the time, do you know why? Because they're having trouble telling the future. That’s why if we DID know the future 100%, we'd all know our destiny, and we don’t. Most stuff is 100% true, others didn't happen--messed up. They didn't "predict" the fucking bush, and trade center, and all that other crap. They found it AFTER it happen. Again, you're just rambling on. The past, they can find, but the future is what they cant figure out 100%. The Moby Dick thing is a joke. Sure it could happen, that they "found" the assassinations, but the lettering weren't all near each other, and prob didn't give out any death dates, and anything. Also, tell me this: How could a "human" encode the bible to the extent to have hidden messages, such early on in the world? You can believe what you want. But for the people that actually believe in God, this is just more prove. Did you actually read also that there was a billion to one chance, or even greater for them to find anything when using the code? Was it fate, or not? We'll see.

Right. A "code" that is only correct so much. Okay. I'm rambling on? Where? On the part where I just proved how false this was? We fucking figured out amazing things back when humans didn't have much technology. You think we couldn't pick out a simple pattern? You can't make up proof to offer someone.

Also, isn't this the same kid who was so fucking suicidal a while back? Left Zelaron, seeked professional help, and thought about committing suicide because his awful teenage life (which matters so much in the future) sucked? But then *gasps, he found the love of Christ. Bullshit, man. You expect me to buy into something said by someone as fickle as you; especially something this far-fetched?

And as for Moby Dick:

Grav
2004-10-05, 08:09 PM
I decided to read on these "codes" which are nothing more than bullshit acts of coincidence and the probability that eventually you'll get what you're looking for in a huge amount of text.

Actually, I wasn't suicidal, bring up a thread where I said I wanted to kill myself and I was going to. I just left because I needed to have some time to myself. I didn't seek help at all. Also, imagine this, the odds are great to find the messages in books, I agree, it could happen, but to find every outline of the WHOLE world, and names of people, and everything in a single book. With the dates(btw, the first picture, I don’t see where the "oct 31, 1984" comes into play, I don’t see any real dates(numbers) there). The odds are great for them to have a book that does give you the assassinations, and shit, but come on. Words will overlap. The 2ed picture is to big, the bible codes are VERY close together and never really far apart.

Have you seen them? And to find every outline in the whole world? If you mean every event in the whole world by that, that's a lie. Lets just say, hypothetically, that the bible has a trillion different characters in it. Now, lets assume that there are a trillion ^ trillion ^ trillion different combinations in it, an overshot by far. You know what that gives you? A finite number. At any given instant of time, there are an infinite number of things going on, thus the bible can't do what you claim it to do. Also, wasn't the bible written by the hand of man, according to christianity? You mean a human coded out all this? Hasn't the bible been translated over and over in the past 2004 years? Like Grav said, coincidence. McKay proved it in Moby Dick. That was a small example of the stuff that was found. There was more found in "War and Peace" and plenty of other books. Oh, and Moby Dick had quite a say about Drosnin.

Grav

Shinto, if you take enough time you can translate anything into meaning whatever the hell you want it to. They didn't crack any fucking code, what they did was come up with random shit, until they found a way to make it say the shit they wanted.

For example: I could say "o;sdijn,ms" is a coded version of "I am the son of god", but it's a new code that no one but me knows. Would you believe me? Of fucking course not. Don't be so gullible.

I read that, and cried. I thought about it... And I said. Why NOT! WHY NOT GIVE LIFE A CHANCE. Why Not? Whats so hard? I have 60-70 more years to live. And if its thats bad, I'll die at the end. But I lost sight of the meaning of life. I forgot about giving life a chance. I forgot about that. I forgot that I need to give life a chance. And that, no matter how hard life is, there is a good bump right around the corner. Its so amazing, I feel so good.

Bible codes? I've heard of them, but what a load of bollocks. Prob just a load of publicity:

Oh, let's say the bible predicts everything, that'll get people to turn religious and read it to know what happens.

Look at predictions and look at the french prophet Nostradamus. OK, a few of his things came true, but the actual prophecies were so vague, they could have applied to anything.

God is created by belief. There's some great quote that I can't quite remember that says along the lines of:

If there wasn't a God, then man would create him/her/it in the end.

Side Note: Wow, I'm older than MJ!! Wait, omg, it was predicted by the bible codes!!! Let's turn religious!!

Sorry to say, that I am not a D2 head.

OK, I'll put on my sitter on the fence head.

Let's see......hummmmmmmmmmmmm ding!

Right, put in my last post and add:

OK, there may be some sort of truth in it though. Look at it this way. Using the Cosmological Argument and the Teleological ARgument, heck all the Arguments, we can say that there is a greater chance that God does exist. Why? People through history prove it: Ghandi (or does he?), Mother Theresa etc. If there wasn't a God, why would so many people worship him, even if it is in diferent ways? The Bible can't have been made up that easily. There are many tue figures in there that were actual figures in history. Also, it would take a really great mind to actually create the Bible codes, which I doubt even Einstein could have done, so it must have been God coming to people in visions, and/or telling them what to write down.

That goes against all my beliefs and...things, but you implied that you want more double opinions, so there youn have it.

Note: Please don't make me do it again, my brain hurts, I think it thinks I'm now a traitor.
