on that WoW website, the fact of the day said the price would be 10 dollars a month, if that is true, sweet, that actually seems lower than the prices of the other games, so im glad it is only 10

Yeah, that would make my decision a lot easier. Only 120 for a year instead of like 180. The game looks sweet anyway, and is prolly worth the 180.

Ehh...
In my opinion 10 dollars is way too high. There better not be any of these fuck ups on the server they have on D2 if we're paying for it. I personally like the idea of free multiplayer better. This 10 dollar fee is a big turn-off for me.
??? $10 is cheap nowadays, heh.
I'd love a $10 fee. If it keeps the servers clean and new quests/content.. it's worth it.

But I doubt that it's going to keep the servers any cleaner than how they are on D2.
It would be logical that an MMORPG would have a lot more data to maintain, though.. I mean, the world doesn't even have save/load areas that I'm aware of..

I pay $13 a month for RO ($12 if you use credit card, I use PayPal)
$10 isn't bad, but I'll stick to RO for now.

SWG costed 15 dollars a month. People complain how badly that game sucks, yet those are the same people who still spend money on it. I would say it's sad, but it's really just odd.

If paying 10$ for WoW means a lagg-free, well kept servers environment, then ill gladly pay. Considering i have a job and 10 a month is nothing. I can see how not having a steady flow of $$$ could make paying for WoW a bitch, but hey, that gets rid of all the 8-13 year olds that infest bnet currently, so in that aspect it's going to kickass.
That never really works, because they just have their parents pay for it.

with $10 a month i'd be able to afford it if they had game cards....of course i'd have to get a better video card to play it and that would cost a lot more =(

It was just a correction, and the price still isn't too horrible, although I was hoping Blizz was gonna be rebels and let us play cheaper than most games. ;)

im not even going to get it. I might play with it for a week, but im applying to colleges and what not. No time to play like i used to.
Oh, to Zagggon: Mainly because it is a Blizzard game, the 8-13 year-olds will FLOCK to it. I used to play a game called DAOC and there were way too many kids. That game is 11-12 a month. $15 bucks a month and parents' concern with video games is nothing these days.
And i dont think WoW will be exactly like any other Blizz games. Hopefully with the monthly fee, they can provide much more patches/support. If not, it is just purely a rip off.
Edit: make the 15 a month. haha.

If you have a job 15 a month is nothing. If you dont have a job, then get a damn job. You will pay 5-7 bucks to go see a movie that lasts 2 hours (just an example, If it does not relate you, I am sure there is something like it that does), but you wont pay 15 dollars a month for like 50-100 hours or more of fun. I fail to see the logic in buying something stupid like going to see a movie or going out with friends and spending a bit too much or getting fast food when you know you have food at home for a VERY brief amount of pleasure but then screaming at them for making it 15 dollars a month? You know what would be crazy? (I dont care how run on this sentence is) If you had to pay for the amount of fun you had, or since that does not work well, pay per hour, lets say you go see a movie for 5 dollars and it lasts 2 hours thats 2.50 an hour. Now lets, for arguments sake, say you only had half as much fun an hour playing wow as you would watching a movie (it would probably be more for most of you but for arguments sake now) so thats 1.25 an hour to play WoW. So in a month if you paid 1.25 an hour and only played 25 hours (Most of you are a lot more hard core then that so increase as you see fit) it would cost you 31.25 for that month, not quite chump change. Gamers got it easy now, prices are insanely cheap for online games. I remember on old AOL I would pay like 1 dollar an hour to play some RPG years ago, bill racked up fast. I found a site called Gamestorm that had the game and they charged 10 or 15 dollars a month for unlimited play of the game, I was like WOW thats pretty amazing! Look at all the money I am saving! Problem is we are hooked on such a low price that increases, even when they are pretty fair from the amount of fun you get out of it, seem bad to us. <end rant>

Preach on, Brother Penguin!
$10 was something I merely thought was nifty, $15 was what I was expecting the whole time, honestly.
