I second that, you have so much more control... or use the HTML Editor in DW MX, I like that too

Amen.

Hey Osmosis, they should stone people for not coding the true way!

Coding in notepad is retarded. Way to time consuming when you can do it ten times faster in dreamweaver. Also if you honestly think you can make an attractive site in notepad then go for it.

The Synthesis style was done in a simple text editor. Your taunt is meaningless. By definition, any crap HTML you can put together with DW I could put together with Notepad, and do it with less BS, too.

DW is for stupid n00bs who have no clue what coding is. Any site that is made using DW or any other online webpage builder is crap. Text editors + php = ultimate website coding. DW + n00b = shitty ass site.

DW and other progs like it are meant for people who have no clue about coding, thus they are easy to use, but result in low quality sites. Why do you think people are paid hundreds of dollars to code websites using text editors? Because they are uber awsome compared to anything else.

Show me one attractive site you have made with notepad. Why make things much more compilcated than they have to be. HTML is such a useless language that whats the point of learning it. I could make a web site with notepad but could i make it attractive ? no thats why i use dreamweaver. Drag and drop is much more simpler than <img src="blahblah.jpg" width="xxx" height="xx">

You start with learning HTML, than you can advance fro that too say .asp and tha .php.

I havent made a site in a long time and I have been messing around with it trying to make a nice double navigation bar, but it keeps pushing it out of place. The whole point is too learn new skills, not use acheap ass program. DW is actually very limited, but a n00b wouldn't know that.

php is has nothing to do with it. Most people use dreamweaver to make the basic layout then apply php or javascript

DW is not crappy if you code in its HTML Code Editor. It is the same with Notepad but it colors the text and you can code fast with the pop ups
