Great news from Nvidia today as they announce a further 1000 Beta slots are up for grabs through their Nzone website.
NVIDIA and Blizzard are working together to ready the game for play on NVIDIA graphics processing units (GPUs), the preferred graphics hardware platform for World of Warcraft. The companies will also engage in strategic co-marketing activities as part of NVIDIA's "The Way It's Meant to Be Played" programme. To celebrate the collaboration, NVIDIA and Blizzard will randomly distribute 1,000 closed beta accounts to eager gamers hoping to be among the first to experience the game. Sign-ups will be held for one week only, starting today at Nzone. http://www.nzone.com/page/home
As part of NVIDIA's The Way It's Meant to Be Played programme, World of Warcraft will undergo extensive compatibility testing to ensure a "no hassles" install-and-play experience for gamers equipped with NVIDIA GPUs. Blizzard has optimised the game for NVIDIA hardware and is working with NVIDIA to ensure the game plays well across a broad line-up of GPUs, from the brand new GeForceTM 6800 series to the GeForce 2. "The investment we're making with Blizzard in compatibility will pay out in spades as soon as the legions of gamers go from install to play quickly and effortlessly," added Rehbock.

I'm actually glad to have to pay the montly fee. Better that than lag city like D2 was when it just kicked off. Having to pay to play will also deter some of those Bnet kiddies.

I knew that from the beginning. However, I'm willing to pay for a game that is decently supported, unlike D2 these days. ;)
Also, the fee will definitely keep a decent portion of bnet kiddies off of WoW, so that makes me even happier. Most of the people I met on the Stress Test were rather cool, rather than 1337 idiots. ;)
You may want to look into Guild Wars, Blck. No monthly fee for that one, and made by the Ex-D2 team that moved from Blizzard.

Maybe they should make 1 server free. I figure it would suck up most of the bnet kiddies, incessant whiners, and those fucks who seriously use dumb ass shit like OMG!11! I R LEGITIST kekeke (i.e. blckshdwdragons friends :)). It would be loosely supported, they could test patches on it, and maybe dump the beta/stress test accounts on it when they go live. Nah, theyll never do it.

That server would be so overloaded...

They'd have to cap how many people could be on it... and then you know SOME assholes will never log off as to not lose their spot on the server.

Oh it actually lets me send the form :P. Last time with the stress test I couldnt even get to the forms to fill in because they redirected me to a page which said, you need to live in north america to participate, or something like that. That's why I didnt even try when I saw you need to live in US/Canada.
I wonder that if they pick me I will be able to play, if not I'll just give the account to someone here :P.
