Remember when we were all waiting for Diablo 1.10? Finally, on Blizzard's front page, they announced PATCH 1.10 RELEASED!! It wasn't Diablo, however. They patched Warcraft from 1.07 (or was it 1.06?) straight to 1.10 JUST TO BE FUCKHEADS.

Anyhow, I thought this was funny.

New Ladder Season Begins!
Today, July 1st at 12:01 AM (UTC) the new ladder functionality was released and a one time ladder reset was conducted. Player accounts’ retained their race wins and icons, however, XP and levels were reset. This reset marks the beginning of an all new Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne ladder season that will run from July 1st , 2004 through September 30th, 2004. The official ladder season rules are available here. In order for you to be eligible to participate in the season-ending tournaments, YOU MUST USE A BATTLE.NET ACCOUNT WITH A VALID, ASSOCIATED EMAIL ADDRESS!

I agree with you there, and from my viewpoint they need to stop supporting diablo 2 all together. I doubt they make much money from New sales on it, and it dosent matter if alot of people still play it, all that matters in business is new sales and Im sure WC3 gets a lot more then d2 does. You dont work on a game just because it has a community or history, you work on a game for the money and if d2 isent putting out a lot of profit it needs to be shut down. BTW I quit d2 long ago =] Im speaking purely from a business/profit point of view and not from a fan/players point.
