Ok I recently agreed to downloading one of those popups where it asks you if you want to install some BS because I thought that if I DLed it then I could DL the album I was trying to DL off one of those MP3 sites. Well, long story short I didnt get to DL the album anyways and now I have random popups all the fucking time. I went to add/remove programs and deleted the progs it installed. I also ran a fully updated ad-aware and after it found and deleted all the spyware files I rebooted and there all there again complete with random annoying ass popups. Is there another program I can DL to make these popups stop? thanks.

Go to download.com and search for spybot search and destroy, ad-aware may have missed something and that should pick it up.

Also another word of advice. Dump Internet explorer, it really truely blows. Use Mozilla. It comes with a popup blocker, intergrates the google search engine into the browser (no need to have a google toolbar), allows you to use browser tabs instead of a window for each web page thats open, and last but not least it does all of this using less than half of the system resources IE does.

yeah ''hijack this'' is nice, I use it too. Usually when that kind of crap is happening, I delete all cookies, run ad-aware, delete unnecesary downloaded program files (in windows map) and then run hijack this, usually this solves the problem.
