View Full Version : Tribute to certain people here

I've decided to put together a list of people whom I feel have done the most for this forum. I think that without these people this forum would not be the same. So, without further ado, I present to you my list:

Chruser: He put together the best site on the internet. I want to commend Chruser on a job well done. He should post more often though.

WetWired: Regardless of the fact that he hardly ever posts anymore, he helps keeps this forum running. He's one of the smartest members to come to this forum. Usually pretty friendly, and when he used to post he was really helpful. He seems to know everything there is to know about the computer.

Hellmonkeys: Without him who knows where Zelaron would be. I honestly believe that one of the reasons that Zelaron became so popular was Hellmonkeys vast knowledge of d2 hacking. D2 hacking has attracted many members to Zelaron, and when it came to that, nobody was better than HM. If it weren't for him, I don't know if I would've stayed here or not. He assisted me in learning programming, and also helped me learn how to write my own hacks for D2. It was a sad day when HM resigned as a mod, and left Zelaron.

User Name # 1: Alongside HM was UN#1, who also convinced me to stay here, with his infinite knowledge of D2. He was a really friendly member back in the day. Helped me, and probably many other people learn some stuff about D2. In fact, I believe one of his threads brought me to this site in the first place. Doubtless he convinced many people to stay here, and helped this site take off.

Raziel: This guy kicks more ass than anyone here. He is perhaps the most intelligent member here. He is the only person on this list solely for what he posts. He's witty, and quite comical at times. I love reading his flames. I don't know how many people he has brought to the site, or how many he has convinced to stay here, but I can assure you, were he not here this site would not be what it is.

Myself: Because I'm the greatest person in the world.

If you're not on the list, it doesn't mean I dislike you. This list does not have anything to do with how much I like/dislike you as a member. I'm sure there are many things that mods/admins do that I don't know about, but I have based this list on what I have seen. I considered adding some other people to this list, but I believe these are the members who made this site what it is today. Good job to all of you.

UN#1? There's a name I haven't seen in a long time.

Don't I get the most times banned award or something?

D3V: Becuase the constant times he tried to flame me, and i ended up owning him, more and more each time.

That brings me back to the good old days, with the whales and rabbits and how 'fat' i am--- ect

Wow, I'm actually quite flattered to be on your list, MJ. And Grav, could you do that owning thing again? I didn't see it the first time.

Wow, that was actually rather impressive. Like watching a dolphin kill a man with a chainsaw.

Hey, thanks. :)
While encouragements are nice, I still prefer constructive criticism even more. If you miss a feature on the site, just go ahead and shout, or even more preferably, send me a PM.

And the winner is.....

Well, everbody here is lonely, therefore they lose. The End.

I'm actually perfectly content, D3V. Not "lonely" in the slightest. If I was "lonely," why would I actively and purposefully engage myself in a field of work that requires me to be by myself for 8 1/2 hours, five nights a week? I see people enough during my free time. I prefer to work when it's quiet.

Anybody ever tell you that making assumptions only serves to make you look like a more abysmal idiot than you already appear to be? Plus, generating the kind of assumptions that you frequently verbalize only makes you look like a bitter idiot.

You should really look into getting a tattoo, D3V. I suggest the word "WINNER" right across your forehead.

Mantralord: for bringing me to the forums and making me laugh... crazy kid

Chris Farley: I wish he didn't die, but it is fact this forum wouldn't be without his great comedy.

Nothing against Raziel, or you, MJ2, but I don't think you can judge someone's intelligence based on their posts in an internet forum. It is easy to see when someone is intelligent, but be careful on making assumptions that someone lacks the trait.

I guess I may as well say Grav, without him, the forums would've sucked and I wouldn't have stayed for as long as I did.

And of course, James, learned pretty much everything about "proper posting techniques" by watching his posts, when I first started out. (Yeah, he joined 3 days after me, but I didn't log in for a while, because I didn't bookmark this place - I depended on the SomethingAwful ad to get back here.)

Good list, and I completely agree. Job well done to those mentioned and to everyone else here for making this website a success. Little recognitions like that go a long way.
