Simple concept yea, but intracate engineering and mechanics for sure.
I do think it is way to big to be practical at this point..

Keep in mind that if they do a full suit version, they'll have to come up with some type of artificial spine for the suit in order for it to be able to lift greater weight than the wearer could.
