Hmmmm.....I'd say Mario Golf. The commercial was good though.... But I just like the Mario games with a storyline, not Mario Golf and that other stuff ya know?

Wave Race Blue Storm was a big disappointment. I was expecting something good, but it was just grab watercraft, pull off one of 4 lame stunts, win, repeat. nothing to unlock except tracks, most of which were just different routes for existing ones. The graphics were soso, and the water effects were the high point.

Metroid Prime, and Wind Waker. (I'm just saying the ones I played that were disapointing.)

Xeen ban because of spam.

I do not like Metroid so I never played it. And I don't like Zelda so I never played Wind Waker.

They made a Mary Kate and Ashley Olson game? Scary...

I got Wave Race with my GameCube... didn't play the game more than 5x total. One of the few games I've never felt any urge to play to completion.

Wow, I say we hang both Kuja's and Quikspy by their toenails.

Metroid Prime and Wind Waker are both great games. One I didn't like though was Mario Sunshine. It looked cool enough, so I bought it, and it sucks.

Holy! Wind Waker and Metroid Prime are most definatly the two best games on the GC.

Evolution Worlds. Second worst RPG ever.

Mario Golf, Waverace and Mario Sunshine all kick ass. I don't know if someone handed you guys copies of Bloodwake and pasted the wrong titles over the box, but if not, you're all insane.

Cause you're a loser who is afraid of something innovative.. the graphics in Wind Waker were GREAT.

Yes but i liked the way that they did Zelda Ocarina of time I was expecting more out of game cube when it came to realistic graphics in Wind Wakers. I was very dissapointed and i much rather of had more realistic graphics like Ocarina of Time's attempt.

I didn't really think any of the Zelda games looked realistic.

Yeah there was absolutely...nothing realistic about any of them. They went from cartoonish to cartoonish.

But you know what he means. When he says "realistic", he means that it is made with the traditional style of a Zelda.

Raziel

Yeah, but if you look at the graphical styles from the beginning of the series, Wind Waker is closer to "traditional" than OoT was. The only other game in the series besides OoT and Majora's Mask that tried to make the graphics more "real" was The Adventure of Link, and that's the most "non-traditional" Zelda game ever.

Wind Waker was more traditional because Link has always been portrayed as a cartoonish character. LoZ, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages/Seasons and Four Swords have all shown link to be a cartoony character, not a hulking badass with a giant sword. OoT was non-traditional, not Wind Waker.

A Link to the Past was absolute gold.

Anyhow, I just started Wind Waker yesterday. It'll take me a bit to get used to the open-ended sort of play. I'm not used to all the mini-quests in a Zelda game.

If I remember correctly, Majora's Mask was made up pretty much of mini-quests.

Adventure of Link... That was a totally different game. I was amazed about how different it was from the first Zelda.

Raziel

The sidequests were the best part of Majora's Mask. It made the world a lot more natural and real than Hyrule in OoT. The entire Kafei/Anju sequence was one of the most emotional and dramatic moments from any game I've ever played. I didn't feel as though I'd accomplished nearly as much at the end of OoT as I did at the end of MM.

A Link to the Past was gold. Well, figuratively. The cartridge wasn't gold, which sucked. Wind Waker isn't quite as open-ended as you might think, considering that the dungeons are sequenced very specifically. Although there is a lot of exploration and extra side-quests to be found. I spent probably somewhere around five hours just sailing and filling out the rest of the map, and loved every second of it.

AoL was actually a pretty cool game. I got the Collector's Disc and have been playing back through it. I'd forgotten how insanely hard the game is though.

Majoras Mask was pretty sweet I think that game had the best graphics out of all Zelda's.

I felt like I was being rushed the whole time I played that game. I didn't like it myself.

Raziel
2004-01-23, 11:34 PM
I didn't really feel "rushed" considering that you could slow time and reset the three day period any time you wanted. Hell, most of the time I found myself skipping a few days just to get to other scheduled events.
