Resident Evil CVX or Silent Hill 2 & 3?

CVX was the bomb. It was so much more interesting and even scarier than the Silent Hill series for the Playstation 2.

I never played CVX, but SH 1 and 2 were fucking terrifying. Certainly scarier than anything in the RE series. I find the RE games to be more fun, but the SH games are significantly more frightening.

The Silent Hill series is, and always will be, "shit-your-pants scary." I used to love Resident Evil, but it the series hasn't provided any good horror since RE2.

Silent Hill 1 was incredibly scary, but I didn't find 2 to be as good from the start. It just didn't pick up as fast as one did. Once it starts, it becomes the best game in the series.

Part 3 isn't very scary at all in comparison to the first two.

I don't know, I've heard from a number of people that 3 is the scariest one. I haven't played it, but lots of people have been whispering "subway scene" to me, and I am intrigued. I'll probably pick it up once I finish the fifteen-thousand other games I'm currently playing through.
