A funny thought just hit me about addicts. Normally, a person who gets an injection of a heavier drug like morphine or heroin might become addicted. The drug lord or whoever gave the person the kick would tell him/her the name of the drug so the drug lord can make a profit off his victim.

Now, what if a person got addicted to a drug, such as morphine, but was never actually told the name of the drug? The user would clearly feel an urge for it and get abstinence, but couldn't possibly do anything about it. If this would work as a way to torment the drug addicts and force them to forget the drug gradually over time, what would really prevent us from performing modern brain surgery to clear a cluster that contains the name of the drugs the person is addicted to? The technology isn't here yet, but it's getting there.

Feel free to give me some input on this.

It's easier to quit than that, you just have to want to.

It only takes a week or so to get over the severe physical addiction of Heroin, and I still havent figured out how long it takes for the mental urge to go away, so far its been almost two years.

It matters not whether you win or lose; what matters is whether I win or lose.

If you're really that serious, I'd just have a friend tie me a bed, preferably a nurse that can get their hands on an IV and a few glucose bags, if not, just have them feed you and hope they don't forget..
