Something recently struck me, see if you guys understand this.
Worker units do 5 damage each, right? Right, they bring in a set amount of minerals. They attack the minerals and obviously do 5 damage which is what makes the minerals go down. Think of the amount of minerals a pile has as its life. When the scv attacks it it removes a portion of its "life" goes down. This got me thinking, what if you upped thier damage, shouldnt this cause them to mine more minerals?? Just a thought.

each worker unit does 5 dmg and takes away 8 mineral. Which means teh minerals must have some weakness to the workers dmg. This is asssuming we count the miin count as life. thats a 5:8 ratio. Statistically that would mean that if an scv did 10 dmg it should e able to min 16 minerals. And so and so forth. Interesting subject.

But it doesnt work that way... I don't think, scvs take alot longer to get 8 minerals than they take to attack twice.

The minerals work just like the vespene, yet the SCV doesn't attack the geyser does he? No.
It doesn't work like this, make a super SCV and mine some minerals with him if you want, he'll still grab 8.

You know, I watched the SCV before (when you first start up with 4 scvs and waiting for the first harvest), they 'attack' the mineral like two or three times before bringing that little piece of 8 mins. One thing I wish the SCVs do is...drop the minerals if they die. You've seen that small mineral icon thing on the map making right? So why when I shoot and blow up an SCV the minerals vanish? It should just drop it on the floor for other SCV's to pick up.

The explosion might destroy the mineral as well. Im talking about hte explosion of the scv, and probe. For the drone, maybe something in teh blood makes the mineral unusable? I dunno, all we can do is speculate.

Maybe when the drone dies his blood is acidic and decomposes the minerals at an accelerated rate invisible to the human eye?

SCVs Wouldnt 'attack' the minerals, they 'mine' you can't use attack command on minerals can you? :P

No. For the SCV there's an attack command and a mine command.
