After doing alot of testing it seems beta 36 (no I will not be going back to beta 35) uses alot more bandwidth and my DSL has only 1.5mbps/128kbs (verizon DSL sucks monkey nuts).
The good news; I called to order a much faster DSL service of 1.5mbps/786kbs from a new ISP.
The bad new; That it will take up to two weeks to switch to this new ISP and the cost of the new service is much higher. :(
So there you have it....

Ok, called my new provider and found out some more info, turns out they are waiting for a "card slot" at the phone co. still, which mean it will be a bit longer until we are on the new connection then first thought. :( It can be as soon as the 16th though it will most likely take a few more "business" days longer then that. When we do the switch there can be up to a 24 hour downtime also.
I'll keep you all up to date as I learn more. Thanks for hanging in there :)

It should be just a few more days. :)

They added another week wait time for the new DSL, some bull about needing a "card import" :'(

I am being told it will be between monday the 29th of december and friday the 2nd of January.
Note on the day of transfering ISP the server will be down. I am told that the "hot swap" should take only a day but there is a chance it may take slightly longer.

Well the shard's ISP change happened much sooner then it was ment to and because of this the router for the new DSL hasn't came yet. I've been on the phone with my ISP trying to get it here soon as I can and even tried to have it shipped over night but for some reason out of their control it isn't possible. They said the router was sent out today and should be here by friday (latest monday). I've already have everything set up and am just simply waiting to plug in the new hardware and we will be live again. The 786kbps upload will make this down time completely worth the wait! There will be no server side lag and we will be able to handle far more players, I am est that with the new upload speed we will be able to host up to 200 players online at one time before any lag sets in. If Acropolis ever sees those number we'll look to upgrade the server even more. :)
