If anybody can find a better compouter then that (not cost wise, performance wise), please post it here.
Only thing that sucks though, ima have to get a job to pay for the 113 dollars per month id be paying to get it. Thats when ive upgraded it. Close to 4000 dollars O_O. This laptop was 999 lol.
that computer looks pretty bad ass
Man, I wish MY PARENTS WERE rich like URS so I could LEECH off of THEM like YOU DO.
64 bit processors are insanely overpriced right now... and you can't make use of them AT ALL until 64 bit programs come out.
Although I suppose you don't want to wait that long

As I've said many times, if you dont know at least 6 DOS/Bash commands, you dont deserve anything above a 486.
Hey, 486s' are underrated!
Hell yeah, and dot matrix printers are the pimpest.
Actually, this belongs in the spam forum right?

I dont know how even you could have mistaken that for "im going to leech off my dad". Be quiet jealous one.
Truth be told i need a new computer. This one is stupid. It wont be able to play some of the newer games that i plan to get due to its outdated geforce 2 vid card. I'm hoping to get a great alienware computer that will last me for quiet a while. I think this one is it. Luckly, they offer a monthly payment plan. I just got back from job searching. Hopefully ill have that bad boy on my desk in about a a month.

Right here
http://www.cyberpowersystem.com/custom/cfgafx.asp
Put what you want on it of course. You can customize it just like the alienware (minus the case of course, but cyperpower has some nice cases as well) if you want. I would just change the vid card.
www.cyberpowerinc.com is where I ordered my last computer.

What did you have then what did you get?
The only Athlon 64 to get is the FX51, but it costs $700-800 per processor. The regular Athlon 64 version isn't ready for you. Wait another half a year.

My take on Alienware: the computers are teh roxor. The service is teh sux. The techs are incompitent. I know this because I recently bought a laptop from them. (I always build my own computer, but it seems that that option isn't available for laptops.) The speed of games is awesome, but the network adapter is flakey. No problem, it's under warrenty, right? So I send them my computer to fix it, 3 weeks later they send it back and the net adapter has the same problem out of the box. I decided it wasn't worth it to repeat this untill the problem was resolved, so I just bought a PCMCIA net adapter. Next laptop I buy, I buy from someone else.

i would never AGAIN buy a computer for 1500, because the SAME computer wil be 600 bucks the next year....and thats STILL a lot of money
i mean they do make new and faster computer but they never find a way to use itd FULL potential until 3 years later when it is less than half its price

the amd alien ware comps are less than the P4's and i love mine i just got it and it kicks ass i got the amd64 with the nvidia 256mb vcard 1 g 4x256 ramh 120ghdd i got it for 73 a month and paid 800 off up front yes there over priced a bit but me to build from scrtacht with same stuff and programs thay give would be 700 less but then i dont have the bad ass insurance thay can give and the fatty ass tower i think its a good way to go to buy from them and i dont know about there sevice yet but if something happens ill post

u make a point but 73 dollors a month for a comp that wont be out dated for a few year is a small price to pay and any 1 can do it u can get a small job to get 73 a month i mean if its that easy to get a godly ass comp why not ya know so some peole dont like that but the computer i had befor was a p3 450mhz 128ram 20ghdd 32mb ati vcard i mean i needed a whole new comp but with my new 1 when a part gose bad a to bring it back up to speed is a side job on a weekend so its sorta just putting all the bit of cash your going to spend down the line together for a godly comp now

I wouldn't fucking bother with an alienware, they cost so much because of their their cases looking like an alien, thats about all they are, I mean nothing else is good with them, they are 2nd grade computes, i recommend just going to like dell.com and building your own. Or maybe not even dell you know, just get all the stuff together that you want and build the computer yourself.

I'm glad you take more stock in a computer than what it looks like. Unfortunately, you are wrong. While I too agree that it's too expensive, Alienware does build top-notch computers.

fuckin rich ass people
WetWired, as far as laptops being self buildable goes, it's getting to that point. Asus has a few laptops where you order something along the lines of a bare bones kit and then get parts and stuff for it. =)
The only way to buy a new computer though is to run your own business and deal with a supplier, or work for someone who deals with a supplier and will let you order things for yourself at cost. Ah, it feels good to be somewhere in the middle instead of being the end retail customer. =)

D3V okay dell hasnt got shit on alienware u cant make a dell as good as a alienware dell just dosent offer the best for a gameing based comp and buying it your self u say its cheeper do u have 1000 dollors for a comp up front? cuz theres no payment plan in buying parts and to buy all the other lil programs that r good to have that come with alienware free add up u cant beat getting the top of the line computer for 75-80 bucks a month my sytem if pusked to full power and runs cooler than my p3 450mhz sytem ran the kooling sytem kicks ass and if u realy want to get top notch and over clock it u can set it up to run a n2 cooling system dell cases dont have the room i mean if u have the money in 1 lump sum then buying parts would be best but if u dont then pay by month and get a best i love mine and i couldnt get better parts that is all i have to say about that

Well, I got a Dell computer. I asked them I dont care what price they charge me, toss in the best Video Card you got in there, make it really fast, and have it delivered to me faster than an overnight shipping. Anyway, what I got was a piece of junk. Graphic Card is lousy and is only a LITTLE improvement compared to my old computer (which I got somewhere in like 1995?). Dell sucks, and have any of you spoken with their Tech Support? They're bigger idiots than Verizon tech support. Im cursing them out and they're saying "dude please, dude no, dude ok." As for computers, Alienware will fall cheaper in its own right and they DO have NICE ASS computers. Listen, if you got the money, you got one badass computer. If you got something against Alien, prove it, post a picture of your Alien sitting next to your (whatever computer) and then tell me its negatives and I'll give it attention. Alien owns. SoV, just get that computer, you wont regret it when you'll be playing games in the most sweetest graphics and fastest speed.
Edit: And yeah I've played my PlanetSide game on an Alien. SWEET! @.@ My Uncle is a freak when it comes to computers. So I went over his house and played for about the week my family was there. Then I had to go home and I was crying that I couldn't take the entire damn computer with me.

As I said, Alienware support blows. The machines themselves rock, untill something goes wrong, then you're on your own to right it.

Um... if you're exchanging the vid card for a Radeon, the it's almost perfect.
You might want to get a sound card. I didn't get one with my comp, and I regret now that I have l337 speakers. I gotta go get one soon.
Also, I wouldn't buy a monitor from them. They add $50 to shipping for it. Just get one at Staples or Best Buy or from some guy on the street corner where I get mine.
(Btw, I don't know shit about mobos, so do some research on that one before ordering.)

If you want to pay for it, it's fine with me. I would reccomend CRT for fast-paced games over LCD though.

If I gave any of you my computer. You would get a baseball bat and destroy the monitor. My computer doesn't work at all.The only time I can use the computer is at college which I am at right now or at the library.I am going to get a student loan soon and get a computer,a car and pay for some books with it.Once I get my computer I will be even more active.
