Well, I finally picked my job and ship-off date and destination today. I will be 88L, or, a Watercraft Engineer (big boats, as in cargo). This job will train me in engineering, shop, welding, and giving me the skills of an electrician, so I figure it could help later on in life. I will be working out of Vallejo, maintaining the cargo / supply boats, propellers, radar equipment, wiring, etc.
After about a year I intend on switching over to Active Duty, and going to Germany. Until then I am just sticking with the Reserves.

Anyway, today I picked my job, as I stated earlier, I got my military DEP ID, some Army gear. And I will be going to Fort Benning for Basic, sure as hell beats Fort Jackson... In the winter! I'll be shipping off Jan 19th.

Other than that... Nothing really new has been going on. I just felt like filling everyone in for no good reason.

Good pay? And are you going to live on base, because that's like pure income.

No, I will not be living on-base since I am in the Army Reserves, however after I switch to Active duty in about one year, I will more than likely live on base. That, or, find some really hot German chick to live with... ;)

I should be making a highly anticipated triumphant return this Thursday.

Sweet. Good to see everything is going good and you are still alive bro.

Sooo, you're gonna be doing some electrician work, thats awesome. You should hit up the Union after that, they pay pretty damn good.

What happened to your girlfriend, or is that old news?

Well the last few of them are old news. Now I'm just dating and having friends with benefits, if that matters. Not really looking for any committed relationships at the moment.

I was thinking about becoming a MP, then going into SWAT as a Sharp Shooter after my enlistment term was over, however some personal events happened to alter my decision.

Enjoy the armed services dude. I have a cousin in the Marines, and an uncle in the Army Rangers. They make good pay too. So have fun.

Maybe there is some special name that is longer for it, but the Army has a special group that has alot oto do with close range combat like ambushes and stuff.

Not really... Considering you have to pay for your own insurance, and you have to pay for someone elkse to negotiate how much you make.

Well, it also depends on how much work they get contracted out. Even after all that, you can easily make over 100,000. Then again, you'll be a zombie from all the work.

Do you mean the Army Rangers? Or maybe the Army Special Forces?

I don't know... I guess the Rangers are like special forces. But to tell you the truth, I don't really know anything except the summary he gave me and that is what I posted above.

I like to reply like this because it looks neater and more legible, it really isn't a new style, just a cleaner way to do something, but that's my opinion. Anyway, I guess I could post more...

Today I stopped off at Taco Bell before going home... I was wearing some of my Army Of One gear, and saw some ROTC kids, I wont get into too much detail, but it was pretty funny what happened...

Did you mean to say you won't get into any detail?

!King_Amazon!:
Actually yes I did, but by the time I realized I didn't have the energy to include any details, I had already clicked Submit Reply, so, oh well. Maybe tonight after work... Gotta' get going now though.
