My parents make me brush the sides of my pool every few days. And pour chlorine in it. I hate it. I never get in the pool, I dont see why I have to clean it. We've had the pool for 2 years, I've only gone in like 4 times.

I have an inground pool. 9 ft deep. i rarely go in it and probably have to clean it more than i go in it.

Here at the UIUC, the English building is said to be haunted because some lady drowned in it in the 20's. Pools are scarey...

You have to buy this acid stuff...it comes in a red gallon-sized container thing. I dunno what its called.
EDIT: Its called "Sodium Bisulphate." Whatever container it comes in may vary...

Whatever you do, before draining a pool.... make sure it has concrete sides, not lining sides. If the pool has the rubbery latex lining and you drain it... it caves in.
If its green you need to just keep shocking it I think. We had a pool like 2 years ago and ours would always be green after winter...
