name that anime

i remember these from when i was about six, anime was the only thing i would watch but the phase passed and came back with a vengeance and im trying to put names to the memories of my favorite anime's please help

1. the characters based their armors on zodiac signs. There is lots of 1on1 fighting in fact i think it was a contest

2. post apocalyptic with the main character ken walking around killing this guy and that guy, very bloody

3. don't know much about this one except that one of the characters had a white tiger and all the characters based their armor on animals, very cool and very dark

4. three siblings who can use magic, very funny

5. the main characters were dressed up as birds and fought aliens

well i discovered number 5 is "war of the worlds" still don't know the other one's though. oh and cheers rurouni it is saint seiya

no its definately not it. The characters(both good and bad guys) looked like samurai, it was set in the modern day and i think(im not sure) the bad guys came from another dimension. For some reason the only characters i truly remember are the white tiger(which wore armor too) and one of the bad guys who wore purple and like to hang upside down from something, he also had a LOT of swords.

4. Were the three sibling's sisters?

If so, might've been El Hazard.

Rurouni's probably right on 3.. Animal armor though? Thought it was elemental. One of them had ARMOR OF WILDFIRE.. unless they got new armor partway through it or something. It's been a LONG while..
