errr I bought this pc, which come with out a OS, I have the window xp disk, but I have no idea how to install it. When I power up the pc, it will bring me to a black screen which just said: "Push a key to reboot."

I don't know what to do now.

The last time I installed XP, the only problem I had was timing.

During boot, it'll say something about Press any key to boot from CD. You only get like 2 seconds to push it.

Also, you can go into boot settings and make sure that you are booting from a CD before hard drive; that might help.

ah fuck, now I fuck it up bad. I use the restore cd disk for emachine, I thought it will work, but it make it worst. I just read that's for emachine pc only. Now it just bring me to the blue screen where it said the pc is stop blah blah blah.

ahhh now how do I reformat my pc... delete everything? I can go to bios setup utility.

God, I think I fuck up my new pc very bad, first I was playing around with the BIOS, I think I degraded from p4s800 1003 to 1002 god, now I formating window 98....

Ok what you will ganga is Start up your computer.

When it starts up just tap DELETE until a blue screen pops up, go to the first one on the top left, go to boot sequence, go to where it says, C, A, and hit Plus or minus to make the D be an option, (this will make it so it boots form the CD DRIVE) And that should fix it, it should install windows and you'll be on your way :D

Gotta be careful, a lot of the new BIOS programs are different. Especially those ones with the damned purple screen. >=|

But yeah, once your in there and in boot options, it's pretty easy regardless of how it handles it. I find the new BIOSs that are out usually have a list of all the things your PC can boot from, and when you highlight one hitting - or + will move it down or up the list. You can also disable some devices from being able to boot entirely.

But yeah, once you have the PC booting off the CD you'll be able to boot with your Win XP CD and install windows no problem.

One other thing though, you say you have the Win XP disc, but the PC didn't come with an OS? So I'm guessing this is a copy you had before, in which case when you go to do the activation you'll probably have to phone up good ol Microsoft and have them remove you from the freaking XP database so you'll be able to activate again before the 30 days are up.
