My band's newest song. Lyrics by myself.

"Necrosis"

Stale breath flowing and breaking on the wall.
A claw scratches flesh.
And that flesh bleeds.
The grit and the grime from within the broken veins,
Drops to Earth.
Pools in dirt.

The jaw goes slack, an arm goes numb, an eyeball starts to twitch, a brain cell dies, the throat runs dry...
Decaying right before your eyes.

No life left inside this mind, a disease called lifelessness, a corpse-a-walking, stiffened limbs...
Rigor Mortis sinks it's fangs in.

Bury Me I'm not alive.
Zombified, dead inside.
Wretched, rotten, losing time.
This life's a lie. Life is a lie.

Bleeding meat hangs upon forsaken bones.
Skin cracks and peels.
Nerves split the seams.
A fading smile drowns within the churning mud.
Beneath this corpse.
This corpse that is me.

What happens to a man when life is dead?
When living has become meaningless?
What has happened to me is an example of just this.

What happens to a man when life is dead?
When living has become meaningless?
Life is a lie, unending and intense.

My life is gone, black heart inside.
Death is life, live to die.
I can't go on, I've lost my mind.
This life's a lie. Life is a lie.

What happens to a man when life is dead?
When living has become meaningless?
Do I stand and strive for a purpose?
Or walk away, and let death work his magic?

Bury me, I'm not alive.
Zombified, dead inside.
Wretched, rotten, losing time.
This life's a lie. Life is a lie.

My life is gone, black heart inside.
Death is life, live to die.
I can't go on, I've lost my mind.
This life's a lie. Life is a lie.

We're a metal band. I don't have any of our songs in file form, and we haven't recorded this one yet anyway. We'll be going back into the studio within the next 6 months though, so I'll give you the heads up once I have it. If you want more info, go to www.arctic-sun.net and check us out. We should have mp3s up soon.

I listened to all of your songs. "Behold the Mask" is pretty good. Intro is fucked up though.

Die-Polar is good. However, I'd raise the vocal levels up a lot.
Also, The Anti-Life Equation has a really cool intro. It's too long I think, and the trums are too loud for the entire song.

I'm going to assume that you didn't record those songs professionally which is why the levels are off. Other than that, and the fact that I'm not too into yell'n'scream music, I give you props on good music.

A pentegram is a satanic sign, not a star.

Wrong about what? You said there was a red star and asked if it was satanic. I said that a red star is not satanic. A pentegram is satanic.

Put down the bottle...

Well kick me in the ass and call me a monkey.

I was even spelling it wrong....

Q: So why do you use that "Satanic" symbol?
A: The pentagram, or five pointed star, is not Satanic. Pythagoras used it as a symbol of health, and his followers wore them in order to recognize one another. In Medieval times, some Christian knights used the pentagram as their symbol. To modern Pagans the pentagram means many things; The five points correspond to the elements Air, Earth, Fire and Water with the top point corresponding to "Spirit". The pentagram in a circle may also represent a human with their legs and arms outstretched, surrounded by universal wisdom or the "Goddess" - humankind at one with the environment. Many Witches and other pagan practitioners do not wear the pentagrame at all, but have other symbols of special meaning to them.

Satanists turn the symbol upside-down, which puts the elements of Fire and Earth at the top (Fire symbolizes willpower and passion and Earth, prosperity and earthly goods) and Spirit, spirituality, at the bottom. Satanists also turn the cross upside-down. This, in itself, does not make the cross or pentagram Satanic symbols. In some Wiccan traditions, the reversed pentagram is a symbol of "second degree" status - one who has been elevated from "initiate". To members of these traditions, the reversed pentagram is considered highly positive and has no connection to Satanism. A symbol is simply an image - it is the mind and the beliefs of the beholder which attribute to it a particular meaning.
