how do i lock my computer , like when someone else comes to use it and when they press the power button it says "please enter a password" to use the computer, iam not talking about the users thing where it saves each user's preferences, iam talking about a pass that you have to put in to lock your WHOLE computer so no one uses it only the ppl who know taht pass

Depends, but if your bios has a setting for it, you can go there. I can't really say where it's at, because they're all different, but I'd reccomend looking there first.

I think you can do it in your desktop properties, go to the screen saver tab.

No, its a BIOS setting. But I wouldn't recommend it, if for any chance you forget... eh... well...

If for any chance you forget you can just clear the bios.

What if he doesn't have a manual? He'd never be able to find the right jumper.

Unless he's a genious and remembered his whole mobo manual letter to letter o_O. Do all motherboards allow locking it?

What do you think Bios runs off of? Cmos, you can do it with cmos alot easier than with bios, bios is a pain in the ass to remove if you mess up with it anyways.
