Actually your right Uncapped, I'll move it.

It's a Korean beta, but I think they're going to have an American one at some point too, and you can set most of the menu text to be in English (and that includes items and monsters) so it's not that bad.

The game is a lot like Neverwinter nights meets Diablo 2.

Here my quick opinon on it. Its a great game, the only problem with it, is that.... its in korean... You cant really do any quests, understand most npcs, or read the main map. BUT as far as hack and slash go, its great. I dont get bored hunting like other games, the Sound effects play a huge role. You can hear an chasing someone to his death *THUMP THUMP THUMP* (eh chruser?). It does so much right to mmorpgs. I do see myself being more active in the AMERICAN/ENGLISH beta then this korean one because I'm afraid that if I play this one too much Ill get bored and I wont be able to hack and slash my way up to the same level when I join english beta. If english beta comes out theres no way or reason ill stay on korean beta ;p So I just dont wanna waste the fun factor that might eventully drain a bit...

As far as pvp/siege warfare/quests go, i have no experince in them due to the fact ITS ALL IN KOREAN RIGHT NOW. But im sure thats just as great as everything else. A bit more charecter customization would be nice, and the controls could be a bit easier but other then that, its great.

For those of you trying to try it now, its a pretty long download followed by an even larger patch so do it overnight.

Oh, by the way, it's an open beta for Koreans, but you can always follow the instructions on this page to participate in the beta yourself. All NPC dialogues are in Korean, although the menus, items and monsters are in English. So, follow the instructions on the page below, and make a character on server #1. Remember to play on server #1 as that's where most of the English-speaking Zelaroners are.

On low settings absolutely, I dunno how well you'll be able to use the eye candy.

You kinda don't want to anyways, it has some weird crash-in-town bugs that seem to be more frequent when you have the gfx turned up.

Trust me, you can run this game on bad systems, even far worse than mine.

Hehe.. mine took 2-3 hours (don't remember), Chruser's took TEN hours, rabbers was a little shorter than mine, except it kept freezing so it actually took longer.

2-10 hours if you're on cable, depending on your speed and location. The update servers are really slow AND located in South Korea.

Is a zelaron clan already. Chruser and me plan on PKin them korean bastards like mad later on. I'm hoping within 2-3 days of hard leveling I can be level 20, which is the first time you can really PK successfully because of the new skills. I'm still split though of which way I want to go at 20 as a human fighter. I can go Warrior which has huge hp/damage, or I can go Knight which has huge defense/damage. But anyways it's a great game so far, it's just a lil' hard for me to earn money as I have the default sword as of yet. Hmm, yeah, the download server seems to be down. I tried to look for some alternatives with no luck, but hopefully it will come up later. The installer file is called L2_Arc.exe and is 985 mb, so if anyone finds a link, feel free to post it.

And remember to play on server #1, preferably not as an elf as they can't start in the dark elf town, which is where most of us are.

Damnit, looks like I'm gonna have to make a new character too. I died, and now I can't get out of town becuase whenever I'm in a town I crash almost instantly.

Looks like a human spellcaster for me...

Don't play humans unless you have high patience for walking for over 30 minutes to the Dark Elf town, if you want to play with us anyways. Besides that, you have to walk from the DE town (top of the map) to the Gludio (middle of the map) to train your skills. I personally am warmed up to running long distances thanks to Planetside. But in Planetside I did not have to avoid gigantic spiders, bears, bats, and specters on the side of the road.

I suggest to everybody don't PK or PvP until you're level 20+ because this is when each class truly splits up, other than mages. Also you get huge boosts to damage and HP (or defense, depending on which way you go) as a figter. As a mage, you get your first truly kickass spells, and a summon spell I think depending on the mage.

But, I'm off to earn myself 58k more so I can buy a halfway decent sword. Unless.... Chruser finds a better one and would temporarily hook me up with his current sword... wow that would be great.

Attacking people you select the name, then hit Control and you can attack then. If you're a mage, hit the corresponding F key to cast your spell on them.

They happen in town am I right? Change text to korean while going into a town, when looking at an item it shouldn't hurt to turn it to english for a short period of time. When you leave, simply change it back to english.

We'll start it off with one of my favorites, although a dangerous place, The Matrix Tower. Chruser took me and Xenn on an adventure there. I ended up dying to a monster who did an 807 Windstrike shot, so I was 1-hitted. You can also see the NPC name is Mozarella, which is a weird name for an NPC, being it is also cheese.

This is of some guy with a Crimson Sword, it's in excess of 700k cash and does 64 physical and 39 magical damage. I should hopefully get one of these on my Knight within the next week... I can hope at least :P.

This here is Xenn on a hit and run scheme he did in Gludio, a castle town in the center of the map. The NPC Dwarf didn't move or attack, but just stood and let us pound on him as we later found out. He took only 2-4 damage from us, so he probably healed quicker than we did damage to him.

This is one Xenn made, kind of disgusting but funny. Some Korean then came up and started taking gold away from his penis, so we scared him off leaving Xenn with only half of a penis. Xenn then proceeded to take the rest of the gold away, because he would rather have none than half.

TO K-R: Don't actually waste time clicking on the monster. Put your actions on Shortkey. Press alt+C. then Click on next target, drag it to your first empty circly looking thing on the right. then drag attack to your second one. then drag pick up nearby items to your 4th. and drag sit down to your 10th (last one) that should be easier and most of the time does not require to use a mouse. To use shortkeys is F1-F10.
