i found the game boring and untasteful.. it feels like a slow version of a futuristic version of battlefield 1942 game
animations are below par, while the textures and graphics looks a lot worse than the battlefield graphics. I'd rather join a battlefield server with 64 people and it would be much much better than anything planetside has to offer. Maybe after a few month variant and sony will finally reaize the problems with the game (random crashes and shit, u die for no reason while jumping), patch the game up a little more, and make it mroe fun than battlefield. Until then, i wouldnt recommend this game to anyone unless they really really desire a boring battlefield that takes 10 minutes to walk to a battle to die and having to walk another 10 minutes to hte battle. If you really REALLY want this game, go ahead and get it. Play the time it gives u first w/o buying the game and see what I mean.

I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet, but from what I heard from others, the game is far better than you described. Maybe you got on a bad server or something?

Well, after playing on 2 servers on USEast (the only 2 east servers) I havnt been convinced to buy the game. Travelling is just horrid in a FPS. Feels like an RPG with its music, and very rarely do I see people actually fighting even in a hotspot.
Uhh, this game looks incredibly good if your computer can handle higher than low settings, and there's a little feature called "insant action", where it warps you to a fight no matter where you are. Once your in a fight, it doesn't take 10 minutes to walk to the battle after dying, 1-2 tops. To move to a new fight in the same general area, yes it takes a long time to walk, that's why they have vehicles you can catch a ride in
I haven't had any random crashes or deaths...

hmm.. my comp runs the game on my custom settings, all of which is def higher than low settings and compared to other FPS / Online FPS games it still looks bad. And the animations is bad, espically the jumping ones...

I find PS to be a very well-executed game at most times, but yes, the lack of a ride can become quite frustrating at times. I don't really have a problem with this, as I usually manage to find myself a ride, or I just HART into the heat of battle. The only real problem I have with the game is the lag. It really gets to my system while everything "matters", which usually means I die in battle versus the easiest of opponents at times due to freeze times of 40+ seconds or so.
Besides, I'd have to say the best part of the game is when you have a friend playing it right next to you. There's nothing like doing a successful liberator or vanguard run and surviving the whole process. :)
