First, my cable went down so I couldn't access the internet properly for a while, so I had to use a 28.8 modem for some time. And once I had gotten my internet connection back for a while, what happened? The fan on my computer net adapter ceased to work, so I'm without a computer right now, hopefully only until tomorrow.

And yes, I'm writing this from a library, so bear with me.

Great week so far, don't you all agree? :P

Ahh, typing from the library (where I am now). Glad I have Admin access over here! Almost time for lunch though..

Just remember Chruser - it CAN get worse. The library computers may go out as well. And possibly the power. So there is a long ways downward to go..

Gee, that's great to hear once I thought things might go wrong when replacing the net adapter. =P

Either way, I'm out of here in a while, so good luck maintaining the board without me for a day or so. :D

Okay, this scares me. I got pissed off at the friction problem, so I thought that since I'm going to get a new net adapter tomorrow anyway, I could as well force the fan away from the plastic plug it was connected to. Maybe I'd find the problem or something, or at least learn a lesson from it.

Anyway, so I grabbed a screwdriver and forcefully twisted and bent around the fan with it with no luck. Anyway, I realized the fan was spinning a lot easier afterwards, so I grabbed an "anti dust" spray, sprayed it all over the fan (and no, it doesn't lead electricity) and put it back into place. At first, the computer started with a fan going at maybe 160 rpm, but then it accelerated to 400 or so, which is what it's running on right now.

So, hopefully, this will last for a while. Everything seems perfectly normal as-is, but I just fear it might stop at any time for no sane reason. I guess this only means my constantly online behaviour, even at night, might have just been put to an end, but it's all for the better.
