I had a collection of... nearly 2000 roms for various systems on my old computer. - Snes/Nes/Genesis/Gameboy/Arcade - I wanted to play FFIII on Snes recently and decided I should download some roms. *Scour* *Look* *Search* *Seek* NOTHING!!! Anybody know a good rom site? Particularly for SNES (RPG if possible) or got a decent connection and could send me a zip of them? Thanks much.

I personally like censored(BUT WASN'T IN THE PAST), they've got plently of downloadable ROMs... and if you want, you can buy the actual game from them.. some of the ROMs aren't downloadable because of requests by Nintendo, etc.. but otherwise, I love it.

No offense, but you're completely wrong. There is no law allowing you to use copyrighted material for up to 24 hours without owning it. And no, you've not even entitled to legally make backups of your games. Do you ever read the license agreements before you play games in the first place?

Here is the official dictionary.com definition of "Warez":

"A term used by software pirates use to describe a
cracked game or application that is made available to the
Internet, usually via FTP or telnet."

Anyone who would avoid calling roms "warez" because he or she has missed the fact that their "protection" has been removed, clearly needs to recontemplate this matter thoroughly.

No, no you are wrong pal. The main problem is that there IS a law allowing you to own a rom if you actually own the carterage, and if you dont own it you are allowed to use it for 24hours.

This is for VIDEO games chruser, not Computer Programs, and if I remember there are no 'licence agreements' on video games.
