I work for a company that makes computer speakers and need your opinions to help create the best speakers for PC gaming. I am NOT trying to sell anything here. How you can help me is either:
1) post up your opinions here (specifically what you do and don't like) AND/OR
2) Click on this link to take a survey.
www.linkeditedout.com
Altruism does have its benefits: the first 150 respondents to complete the survey will receive a $5 gift certificate towards a purchase at Amazon.com.
Thanks for the help.
PS I'm not trying to sell anything here and if you don't want to go the link, you can always have a discussion here about what the best speakers are. I'm really just interested in what everyone has to say. Hopefully you won't lump me in with spammers. PC speakers is on topic isn't it?

Headphones are always better than speakers for gaming.

Thanks so far. In reply:
Yeah, it's legal (actually checked with my legal dept. before posting anywhere)
Sorry if the survey felt too long. Most I've spoken with take only 10 mins.
And, as for headphones. I've heard that from some of the places I've posted. Is there something you feel headphones do better than speakers (or is it price that's the main factor)?

You guys should invent some kind of chair with speakers built in...and motors and stuff, like those ride-chairs at Universal Studios, Florida....
Also the chair needs like...a joystick built in, or a gamepad, or some kind of adaptable thingy so you can plug in your own gamepad. Oh, the chair needs a subwoofer connected to its base, so you'd get to feel all the noise whenever a loud explosion occurs...and there should be surround speaker satellites around it...held up by..hollowed steel pipes or something. Actually, alluminum would be nice...it has good resonance. And make the chair like all leather.
Oh, the chair needs like a stand to hold up your keyboard and mouse...possibly your monitor as well. It could very well replace your whole desk with a professional gaming environment..
I would seriously buy this product..it would be like some kind of mind orgy when playing Counter-Strike...like "hehe, i hear you sucka, youre stalkin me 9 1/2 feet behind me" and i turn around and "bam bam!", and the other guy is like "oh shait son, howz did you know?"
Then i would be like, "i got the new Akira GameChairXP Theather"...then the other guy would reply with something like "oh dang son". Yes, something along those lines.
Ive attached an image of what i would like it to look like:

Mmm...im gonna enjoy this speakerchair...

The reason that headphones are better than speakers is that the sound is right at your head. Example: Counterstrike. I'm walking down a hall. I hear footsteps. They are coming from the left speaker, however, my mother is watching television in the next room. I can't tell whether the terrorist is coming from the first or second room. *Boom* I'm dead. Whereas, with headphones, you (experienced players only, of course) always feel confident where someone is coming from if they are heard running.

It matters not whether you win or lose; what matters is whether I win or lose.
