hey saw this new hack

hey anyway mabye a few of u saw it.. but a few weeks ago on east on a saturday (i forget exactly) but in the ladder games there was a game called FREE WINS/ CD-KEYS/ ILLEGALS! i go to click on it and boom it says in the description area ( u know like where it says the creator of the games name) it said "AHAHHAA" and i got booted out of Starcraft. i dunno wut it was but i havent seen it since 1.10 came out.. still it might be working but i dunno.

This is old, it use to happen to me in like 1.04 but I don't know how it is done.

hmm really ... interesting ... must be some illegal character that they put into the game name so when ur SC sees it , it crashes.

Hopefully it isn't a custom map with a CD-key stealing trojan or something.

No, you don't download anything, you don't even enter the game. You just click the name and it kicks you.

wut if u added a small keylogger/trojan to a map? so when they downloaded it to play it and they ever tried to open it to say edit it would it infect their computer with it?

A map isn't an exec. It is just data that SC/BW reads as commands. So if a trojan was in there SC/BW wouldnt reconize the code and say it was an invalid map.

No, Bnet can't infect anyone either. Only way to infect them is to have them download a virus and exec it.

Actually you could alter the servers to where you can only use a certain patch to play, put out a "patch" that is either a trojan itself or just a previous patch and a trojan put together, people download it, it executes itself, bam.

Need a certain patch? thats not possible only blizzard/bnet can make something like that.

They most likely just used an exploit in the game that made you loose connection. Just like drop hack in D2.

yet wut if like Alex.b got drunk and excepted your undetectable 1337 trojan then next thing he knows over 5,000 people have a virus that steals cd-keys spreading through the system?

(both the trojan and virus that steals cd-keys are totaly posible just the fact that no1 has done it is weird...)

a trojan is a virus, so dont say the trojan and virus.

A trojan dont infect other files , while a virus do. A trojan is a full remote controll program.

A trojan is a type of virus, and it "can" effect other files if it wants. Trojan just means a virus with backdoor on it. When they make this trojan, everthing a hacker can do to you with it is programmed into the trojan.
