soul reaver is ok but the game is not straight forward enough always mess around and get lost and not know where to go plus soul reaver 2 had a bug on my version and it wouldnt let me past this part so I hated it (*i read all the walkthroughs and crap trying to figure out wut was wrong and I did but the game would not let me do it)

yeah I agree with you but some of the crap in it is a lil hurried I think but the story line is excellent

The whole series is badass. I prefer the Soul Reaver games substantially over the Blood Omen games, though. I just finished BO2, and the game has a LOT of bugs. SR1 and 2 were both polished as much as possible. I'd actually say SR2 is probably the most precisely polished game I've ever played. Wow, there's some alliteration for ya.

The only Legacy of Kain game I have yet to play is the first Blood Omen. I need to find a copy on Ebay. BO2 was good, but it needed a lot more work. Poor framerate issues, REALLY bad lag during the dialogue in some cutscenes, and less than stellar special effects. It was still anawesome game! Just not as good as Soul Reaver 2.

I agree, Blood Omen sometimes does do disk-skip. That is the only thing I hate about Blood Omen II. Soul Reaver is very good!

I actually just finished playing through SR1 for the third time last night. Such a badass game. I was also able to score a copy of the first Blood Omen off Ebay yesterday! I'm so fucking stoked!!

That would be amazing, but since the entire series is done with voice acting (and all of the same actors do all of their respective characters in every game) the game series is already very much like a movie series. If someone were to make an actual theatrical motion picture, it would have to be done completely in CG, like the Final Fantasy movie.

I think so, too. I think they should make one. It will be so good. I want to see how they make Soul Reaver out of the modern Technology!

The characters would have to be voiced by the same actors from the games though. I wouldn't even consider watching it if Simon Templeman and Michael Bell weren't doing the voices of Kain and Raziel.

I dont think the game is popular enough yet to even be condisdered for it yet but it would be awesome even if it was cg

cg would be cool. Think about Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within. Even though the movie blows, the graphic are still amazing ehh?

Yeah, if they could produce visuals as detailed as in The Spirits Within, that would definitely be a step in the right direction.

I doubt it very much. It would either cost WAY too much to make a decent movie, or they would spend a lot less money and make a really poor one. The series isn't quite big enough for anyone to want to invest that much money in a movie about it. Look at how long it took Mario Bros. and Final Fantasy to get a movie. It took forever, and most people were very disappointed with them.

Meh. I'm just fine with it being a video game series for now. One of the best damn series ever!

I'm having a hard time deciding which series I prefer: Legacy of Kain or Final Fantasy. I've been playing Final Fantasy games for ten tears, and they rarely ever disappoint me. But, the Legacy of Kain series has SUCH A BADASS storyline, and both Kain and Raziel are two of the coolest video game characters EVER. I just can't decide!
