Electronic Arts Monday shipped Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome to retailers in North America. The multiplayer expansion gives players more maps and vehicles as well as additional fighting forces. It focuses exclusively on the Italian and Sicilian campaigns of W.W.II. Players can battle on six new maps - including Operation Husky and Operation Baytown. Road to Rome features eight new vehicles in addition to the more than 30 in the original title. These include the German BF-110 and British Mosquito twin-engined fighter-bombers. Also debuting are Italian and new British and German tanks and anti-tank guns. The original Battlefield 1942 is required to play Road to Rome. Digital Illusions of Sweden developed the expansion.

Is this going to be like the Civilization Series gameplay style, or is it fully manual? Ex. Is it automated battle scenes, or do I control exactly everything that occurs like Splinter Cell for example?

My video card sucks too, but my friend owns this game so I played it there a few times, it was so fun. With an expansion to the origanal game this game will be so sweet.

This game is just.......GO FOR IT !!!
I tried to play Op Flaspoint after BF1942, but when I tried it, I was disapointed : server system is shit, and it is 10 X easier to join a game with BF.
Graphics are better and gameplay too.
Can't wait to get this Add-on...
