View Full Version : Nothingness

The white snow covering the barren trees outside my window makes me wonder. How can something so sterile and lifeless be so beautiful? Not even the wind seems to rock the cradle today, everythig is just so dark, so calm. So it struck me once more that humans strive for perfection all the time, trying to build the ideal world out of bare nothingness. To start from scratch is what they say the true artist does.

But no matter how much time and effort we put into our projects, there is to physical way to acheive actual perfection. We will always see scratches and flaws in our work, although many may see it as the ideal outcome. As we destroy the calm void with our dreams, we also seek to destroy the already calm and beautiful world. If we just leave it be, the nothingness would always remain and never be affected by our human flaws, our imperfection. If we didn't exist, our world would not have any flaws, and no-one would be there to witness them and complain. Void is as close to perfection as we will ever come. If we want to continue to strive for perfection, and empty world is what we should be wanting.

I just have one question for you. Is it something in your life that you are striving for perfection with, or are you just trying to declare the world as a morbidly barren place of nothingness to be the ideal perfection?

Hooray for emptiness. It's amazing how snow messes with your mind, isn't it?

Emptyness is perfection in its intent: to be nothing. Many of us strive for something great, something fulfilling. If the goal is fulfilling, I would suppose emptyness is as far from perfect as possible.

If we did not exsit, the world would not have any flaws but then if we didn't exist no one would care or even decidedly know that there are no flaws...so would you rather live with the flaws or with nothingness.
Some people may strive for perfection even knowing that they will not become what they want, but it can be the strive that they want. They can make that their use in life if they feel useless, so this non-perfection and striving for it can help people. If you want to travel into the void then go ahead but the world full of flaws is amazing enough for me..maybe instead of thinking about peoples flaws think about what your life is like and what you think this world is, not what it can be.
By the way snow is beautiful.
