New to GameCube

I just bought the GameCube bundle (a good deal, btw: console, super mario sunshine[which sucks], controller, and memory card) and I was wondering what are some really liked games?

Get Metroid Prime immediately.

Animal Crossing is also very poular, but I still haven't picked it up.

Eternal Darkness is the 3rd game people rave about.

But definately Metroid. Not even up for debate really.

I played MOH:Frontline...it didnt really astound me. Though I did play it on the PS2 at my friend's house, it might be better on GC.

and no, metroid is NOT an fps, although everybody thinks it is. its the first person view unless you are in the morph ball, but it sure as hell is not an fps. you spend a lot of time doing puzzles and locating different items. you don't have quests to go get the most kill count of a certain monster or kill all the monsters in the best time, that would be stupid and non-metroidish.

Also, Jizmo... definately go with Prime, get AC if you have a lot of free time only, get Super Smash Brothers Melee if you have people over a lot... it's a great party game.

I did yesterday.

I also played a demo for it. The fighting was awesome, and you get used to the graphics. Plus you can hide in barrels, and sneak around walls. The only con was the fact that you have to control the camera angle. If there was a chase camera mode I thought that would have been better.

u cant really compare the two. animal crossing and metroid are two completely different games. animal crossing is a never ending "real life" game with an immense replay value and so-so graphics. metroid is a first person adventure with amazing graphics and gameplay, a story line and it eventually ends once u get 100% and beat the final boss. so u really cant compare the two since theyre so different

Frankly, I got tired of Animal Crossing after about a month or two. Occasionally I get the urge to pick it back up, but I'm afraid of what might have happened in my town over my two month absence.
