Well, I started working on a human face today, and I will post updates as I progress. I have two images so far, one smooth-shaded version, and one wireframe version in four different views. As you'll find out when you check the images, they're all made in LightWave:

Dude, everyone knows you head model only one side and then mirror the other! And why are you working out like that? Start with a ball and work out the rest! Ball or box, your choice and one last thing, no one has flat eyeballs... NO ONE :)

1) There is a Symmetry mode in LightWave, that does the opposite thing of what you're doing across the negative X axis. In other words, it doesn't matter whether you make half of the object to duplicate it later, or just use symmetry.

2) Primitives might work for computer screens, houses, even cars, but NOT for organic modeling.

well i do box modelling mostly... it's a bit painful at first... faster later on, and... damn ur lightwave symmetry! :D now scan me that book and maybe i'll understand ur crazy lightwave ways :)

I've been kind of lazy, avoiding to work on this for a while, but I decided to resume my work a bit.

Actully your engine is going to have to render better then that, since chruser wants a game better then Star Wars Galaxy Online.... Remeber your making a game that has to compete with the best of the best ;0 (Not kidding, thats what chruser told me lol)

Another version:

Besides, I tried to flip the polygons, and it came up with a funky, yet scary result:

Haw, haw. Only the ears are left in the modeling stage.

Is just me, or did the ears make him look really unhappy?

EDIT: By the way, this is post #150K on the board. :)

Here we go, a rendered version with textures. The only things I can really think of that I need to do is to fix the somewhat decompressed collar bone, and add some hair in Sasquatch.

This is coming from someone whose gender is uncertain.

Randuin, haven't you ever seen a bald girl in your life? Actually, the outer lines match a girl I was using as a background template, so there's nothing wrong with the "anatomy" you mentioned on AIM. Only the collar bone looks slightly decompressed as I already mentioned, but it doesn't affect the outer contours.

the collar bone was the thing i was mentioning
i'm a n00b tho... but no books ;)

Alright... I think it's time to address this issue.

Randuin: In your title and sig it clearly shows that you are leaving Zelaron forever. If this is so... why do you continue to post? If you actually intend to stay please tell us so I can rehire the hitman.
