Why ITH's?

I was just curious if anyone had an answer for my question. Why are Iths items ITH items? Let me clarify. Why are they Ith items and not like Eth items, or El items, or Tir Items? Is there a real answer for this, or was the Ith thing just part of the bug and was uncontrollable?

I think its clientside...either its just a random mystery that an unknown runeword will be called "Ith", in reference to the rune (kinda like how adding skills to act 1 mercs causes them to start using crazy skills somehow...a bug), or blizzard coders thought of it off the top of their head for error handling...

Well, I believe Ith is a bug, but the act 1 mercs are not bugged...in fact they do different things with different numbers of skills (dont remember what at which) - just a little bonus.

Actually act 1 mercs arent bugged....upto +2 skill points or such blizzard actually intended it that way, but beyond that you start getting skills which could even lock up the game.

Act 1 mercs with +3 skills will randomly shoot a "Lightning Hose" arrow. +2 skills gets random elemental arrows. They still suck but are fun to watch :)

Yep, my merc somtimes uses zephyr bow, or ITH bow...

Eagles aren't that great for mercs... the + 1 skill doesn't affect them and damage isn't that great.

Yep. That works so well in public dueling games...it's fun watching other people die from the arrows of your stupid Rogue.

Going to lvl my Hc sorc to 99 currently 94 and going to use Arkaines, Valkyrie wing and Cliffhanger so i'll see what it get's with 6+ in skills, when it has 5 it shoots a poison thingi from poison nova, very lame indeed ;) and i need to use 1 fal rune in valkyrie and cliffhanger so merc has enough strenght >.<
