1. Two planes take off at the same exact moment. They are flying across the Atlantic. One leaves New York and is flying to Paris at 500 miles per hour. The other leaves Paris and is flying to New York at only 450 miles per hour ( because of a strong head wind ). Which one will be closer to Paris when they meet?

2. What English word can have 4 of its 5 letters removed and still retain it's original pronunciation?

3. Cathy has six pairs of black gloves and six pairs of brown gloves in her drawer. In complete darkness, how many gloves must she take from the drawer in order to be sure to get a pair that match?

4. I never was, am always to be,
No one ever saw me, nor ever will
And yet I am the confidence of all
To live and breathe on this terrestrial ball.

5. At night they come without being fetched,
And by day they are lost without being stolen.

6. Jenn is facetious. She is also abstemious. She gets pneumonia. Given those clues, what is the only American tree she will like?

Don't worry, they get harder still, and there are plenty more if you want me to post em. :)
I only posted the last one because I couldn't get it even after I looked up what abstemious meant, lol!!

1: They are the same distance
2: Queue
3: 3 gloves
4: Kind of ambiguous.... air probably? if not, then time.
5: The stars
6: Eucalyptus

The first ones were simple as well. Are you getting these from www.n00briddles.com or something?

Nah, just random sites I've checked out over the last year and from what I've heard and remember enough to write down properly. :)

3., 4., and 6. are not correct, but the others are!

Also, you are on the right track with number 4. and the second answer, time.

BTW: Try not to look them up or anything because that just takes the fun out for everyone. :(

Titusfied...

At the 1st thread you posted some riddles, what is the answer to question/riddle 6?

Someone had it right yesterday. 9^9, which is 9*9*9*9*9*9*9*9*9= Big number!

But now that I think about, that was the answer that was supposed to be right, but I'm going to write them and see about 99! (99 factorial) which would be higher. I forget who posted it, but that was a good point.

:)

EDIT: I'm thinking they might consider "!" a digit too, and say that 9! would be close, but not as big as 9^9.

The answer to three is not 7, it's three.
Think about it.
You pull a glove. Brown
You pull a glove. Black. Damn! No Match!
You pull a glove. Brown or Black. it doesn't matter, you have a pair.

Also, explain number 6. Eucalyptus cures pneumonia.
Possiblu a tree that Causes pneumonia? No, that can't be it, because then she would dislike it....
Has to be Eucalyptus imho.

I was thinking '3' to #3, but then Tidus says 3 is incorrect. You're on crack. It is 3.

Unless the riddle is just homo and since it's 'complete darkness' any 2 will match, she can't tell..

As far as I know there are no Eucalyptus trees in the U.S., if there are then they are just for exhibits. I think he means natural.

That'd make sense, but "how many gloves must she take from the drawer" ? If that's the answer then way to be fucking gay.

Any two will be the same color in complete darkness. However, if you're going to be gay about it and say they match because they are the same color in certain circumstances, I can point out that, because they are colored with different dyes, they do not match.
